What do we believe at Shiloh?
Christ commands believers to get baptized. Yet, baptism is also a gift He graciously gives for our benefit and blessing.
Three reasons to be baptized:
- To obey Christ’s command.
- To publicly profess faith in Christ.
- To formally commit yourself to Christ and His people.
How do you prepare your heart?
- Accept Jesus into your heart.
- Accept His forgiveness.
- Commit to walking with Jesus.
Who can be baptized?
Our desire is to make baptism available to almost anyone who asks. Our only requirements are that they agree with the above statements and that they have reached the “age of accountability.” Use the form at the bottom of this page to contact us to discuss this in more detail.
What happens during the actual baptism?
Shiloh believes in an immersion baptism. This means you will be laid back into the water until you are fully submerged, then quickly lifted back out. We will greet you with towels as you step out of the water.
What can I expect the day of?
- Come dressed in clothes that can get wet, and bring a change of clothes for after.
- Arrive early and check in with us before the start of the service.
- Baptisms happen at the end of the service during our worship time.
